About

Ashley truly believes that counselling is a chance to support, guide, and be a part of others’ journeys. She is honoured to be that individual to walk alongside you as you work through your struggles and challenges. Her mission and goal in the therapeutic process is to create a feeling of comfort, authenticity, genuine connection, and a sense of teamwork. There are moments to cry together, laugh together, and figure out those next important steps. She is a compassionate and kind listener, and is dedicated to helping your soul feel well.
Ashley has been in private practice since 2014. She is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She holds an Honours BA in Psychology and Sociology from Western University, and a Masters’ of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She is in good standing with the OAMHP, and works collaboratively with supervisors, colleagues, and various health and wellness professionals.
Ashley’s experience is in maternal mental health, working through anxiety, meditation and mindfulness training, support during life transitions, women’s issues, and weight and health counselling. Additional areas of support include: stress, body image issues, relationship challenges, family dysfunction, general coping, integration of yoga and movement into therapy, and mild depression.
Ashley uses an integrative approach to therapy depending on the individual. Ranging from cognitive-behavioural therapy, to solution-focused therapy, to mindfulness. She believes that each client’s unique experiences and personality dictate how the counselling process unfolds. She focuses on integrating the whole health of the body into the health and treatment of the mind.
“I know every time I am sitting in a client session – no matter how difficult of a story we are walking through together – I am doing exactly what I am meant to do.”     – Ashley
